PLASTERED 8 LAUNCHES SHORT FILM
Tamara McCombe Jun 21, 2012
Beijing brand Plastered 8 has just released its fourth promotional, jokingly self-described as a “4th Life Changing Video”. The short film stars Plastered 8 founder Dominic Johnson-Hill and the online sensation MC Shitou.

Johnson-Hill explained to us where he garnered the inspiration to create these ‘life changing films’. “The idea comes from Chinese "Xu Jia Guang Gao" or fake adverts you get on TV where they advertise products that change your life - machines that make you a foot taller in a week, pills that give you bigger breasts etc etc. You can see the other three we did here are all slightly different, fun and insane. The point is just having fun and being creative with advertising. Making people laugh and also laughing at ourselves.”

The film coincides with the release of two new t-shirts. The brand’s designer Keng Zi has created an elephant and crane design to represent a beautiful and peaceful world. The other design has the brand name in Chinese in the form of plastered illegal adverts. Both designs are now available in Beijing and Shanghai stores as well on Plastered’s Taobao page and on the official Plastered 8 website.
