LOST IN FASHION: LIU BOLIN FOR HARPER’S BAZAAR
Marianna Cerini Mar 01, 2012
Chinese artist Liu Bolin, who manages to camouflage himself in any surroundings, no matter how difficult they might be, brought his creativity to the March issue of Harper’s Bazaar, for a fashion editorial appropriately called “Lost in Fashion.” In a stunning 10-page spread, Liu, also known as the “Invisible Man,” uses his paintbrushes to make Lanvin’s Alber Elbaz, Angela Missoni, Jean Paul Gaultier and Valentino’s Maria Grazia and Pierpaolo Piccioli vanish into their own iconic designs - the mannequins of Lanvin’s workroom, Missoni’s trademark zigzags, Gaultier’s sailor shirts and Valentino’s red dresses. The results are astonishing.
